The Antarctic krill industry is a vital sector within polar deep-sea fisheries. This study outlines the current development status and standardization progress of China’s Antarctic krill industry using industry surveys, standards retrieval, literature review, and comparative analysis. A comprehensive standard system framework and a detailed list of standards for the Antarctic krill industry were established, encompassing Antarctic krill resource detection, ecological fishing, products processing and distribution, facility and equipment manufacturing. The study also proposes recommendations for enhancing researches on technological innovation in fishing and processing equipment, ecological foundations of krill resources, and key technologies for high-value utilization. By prioritizing the establishment of standard system for Antarctic krill processing and quality assurance, which focusing on general processing standards, product quality evaluation methods, operational procedures, and cold chain storage and transportation specifications.
