In accordance with the provisions of the Metrology Law of the People's Republic of China, the product quality inspection institutions tasked with providing societal notarial data must undergo a rigorous assessment of their metrological verification, testing capabilities, and reliability by the metrological administrative departments of People's governments at the provincial level or higher. According to the latest version of the “Inspection and Testing Institutions Qualification Accreditation Evaluation Criteria”, “Competence assessment for inspection body and laboratory mandatory approval-Genaral requirements for inspection body and laboratory” (RB/T 214-2017), and “Assessment methods and evaluation rules for agricultural product quality and safety inspection institutions”, this study summarized the declaration elements, the application procedures, the on-site review and other aspects involved in the qualification recognition of grassroots agricultural product quality inspection institutions.
