Abstract:In order to master sea water quality and the accumulation of heavy metals in scallops in Argopecten irradians season, this study selected four typical scallop culture areas to analyze the sea water quality and the contents of six heavy metals (including Pb, Cd, Hg, Cu, Cr and Zn) in scallops in November, 2021. Results showed that the contents of DO, COD, DIN and DIP in the four aquaculture zones all met the national standards for Class I sea water quality, and the heavy metals met the standards for Fishery water quality standard. The contents of the six heavy metals in scallop met the national food safety standards. The enrichment of Cu and Cd in scallop was more than 1500 and 650, respectively. The enrichment ability and selectivity for heavy metals were different in different scallop tissues. The enrichment of Zn in the closed shell muscle was significantly higher than that in the whole scallop soft tissue. Therefore, the accumulation of Cr, Cd and other harmful metals in scallop culture should raise concern. [Chinese Fishery Quality and Standards, 2023, 13(2): 46-52]
