As a kind of high-value fish, tuna has attracted much attention from the international and domestic markets. At present, the fishing, culture and utilization of tuna have a good development prospect at home and abroad. Many studies on tuna have been carried out in China for a long time, which mainly focused on fishing and utilization. Only the far-reaching marine culture technology and variety development innovation team from Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences has carried out the basic research on tuna culture in recent years. This paper introduces the research progress on tuna culture industry and technology in the world, which expected to provide a reference for the exploitation and development of tuna culture industry in China, as well as put forward the further key work direction.
