Abstract:China is a major country in aquaculture, while with the development of aquaculture and the frequent breakouts of safety accidents for aquatic products, the quality and safety issues have been a key factor in restricting the sustainable development of aquaculture. In order to fundamentally improve the quality and safety of aquaculture products, the green and healthy aquaculture technology can be developed and promoted through multiple ways including breeding new varieties, expanding the coverage rate of superior seed varieties, promoting and improving a variety of healthy aquaculture models, developing high efficiency environmental protection feed, and establishing aquaculture biosecurity technology system. Meanwhile, the application of hazard analysis critical control point (HACCP) system can identify the harmful links of aquatic products in the process of production, processing and consumption, and control the seven key control points of farm environment, water and water quality, seedling selection and delivery, feed and feeding, breeding disease prevention and daily management, circulation and storage conditions. Then the safety net of “from farm to table” is established, and food safety hazard is solved from the origin. In order to improve the quality and safety of aquaculture products, HACCP system can be applied while promoting healthy aquaculture technology.
