To diagnose kelp’s disease at the early stage, we develop a brief, practicable retrieval table. After literature analysis, which were published form 1965 to 2016 (~70 articles), we identified a total of 18 diseases of kelp larvae at the stage of culture and breeding. By parallelled retrieving method, the typical symptoms were labeled correspondingly, and thus common diseases of kelp were retrieved orderly. This brief, understandable table might provide a noval method to rapidly diagnose kelp’s disease, especially for farmers.
