In order to realize the status of the standardization for tilapia aquaculture, 11 enterprises for tilapia aquaculture were selected and their standardization conditions were investigated and analyzed. The study showed that the enterprises which have normative administrative rules and executive standards accounted for 45.5%, the enterprises which have normative executive standards but operated mainly by experience accounted for 36.4%, and the enterprises which have not related executive standards accounted for 18.2%. The results showed that the implementation of the standardization for tilapia aquaculture should be improved further. Two suggestions were put up as follows in order to advance the standardization for tilapia aquaculture. Firstly, the market access institution should be established to motivate the standardization. Secondly, the reformation of aquaculture facility should be enhanced to strengthen the standard hardware foundation.［Chinese Fishery Quality and Standards, 2014, 4(5):30-33］
